The “2/2” configuration means it has two ports and two switching positions (open/closed). With an approximate 2.5 mm orifice, it allows moderate flow rates suitable for control of air, inert/gas flows (e.g., argon/CO₂) or light fluids depending on variant. In its de-energised state (for the “normally closed” version) the valve blocks flow; when energised, it opens (some may be N.O. or N.C. depending model—check your supplier).
